GET OUT ON THE WATER

So much appreciation for the guys helping us carry kayaks to and from the bus at the beginning and out of the water at the end. Such a great group of employees working there, I've not a single complaint about any of them! Om the contrary, I've only got praises to sing for going above and beyond, being super friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this company to my children, parents, colleagues and friends alike. My Husband and I tried Kayaking for the first time we opted for separate kayaks and use of the shuttle to drop us in 9 miles up. We were dropped in at the center of Contoocook the float down was perfect. We were the only ones on the river until 3 miles from our take out spot. Amazing experience and I cannot say enough about Contoocook Rover Canoe Co. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and always had safety in mind. Make sure to check them out!

LOVE LOVE LOVE coming here. This was our second time. First time we rented a canoe, this time we rented 3 fishing kayaks. They were so comfortable. The water is beautiful and peaceful. The staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Great 9 mile paddle! Not much current, but it was easy to paddle at a nice slow speed and we completed the trip in 3 hrs. We saw a mink, squirrels, chipmunks, a few different types of birds, and lots of turtles.

Had a great paddle down the Contoocook River. So appreciated being able to be transported upriver by this fabulous company. Saw Herons, Egrets and even an Eagle… Would recommend highly!

Been going here for a few years now. The staff is friendly and helpful. The river is perfect and the kids always have a blast. We bought some paddles this year and the staff was incredible while helping us decide what was best for our needs. No upselling at all. We will be back, hopefully with our own kayaks at some point, but definitely will be back!

Used the shuttle service to take my own kayak up to the put in. Easy to make reservation, sign waviers and pleanty of parking. Beautiful day on the lake. Easy 9 mile paddle back down to my jeep. The staff helped me get my boat back up to my vehicle. Love having Contoocook River Canoe Co. local and providing consistant good service. Thanks for another great day of paddling!

The crew at Contoocook River Canoe Co are professional and friendly. I highly recommend them. I rent a kayak and utilize the shuttle service. I've been several times and it's always a great experience. I have friends who own their kayaks and just use the shuttle service. So convenient.

A beautiful day on the Contoocook River. Location was excellent. Staff was very helpful. 9 miles of river to check out. Highly recommend to anyone interested in kayaking or canoeing.

Had a great experience! Booking was super easy, everyone was very friendly, and they supplied everything we needed. Prices are also super reasonable. Just be aware that due to the dams there is not a current to help (or hinder, I suppose!) so be sure you’re ready for the effort of a 9 mile row if you use the shuttle! There were lots of places to pull off to rest and explore or play with kids when they needed to stretch their legs or take a break. We would definitely go again!

I've been coming here for nearly 10 years and absolutely love it! The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The 9-mile kayaking route is ideal for a day on the water—peaceful, scenic, and a perfect mix of relaxation and light exercise. Highly recommend!

Conntoocook River Canoe Company was so accommodating. The men that work there are so kind. I had no expectation that there would be anyone at the point of take out offering to assist us. The truth is we were pretty tired and so grateful to the two lovely young men who offered to carry our kayaks to our cars and load them for us. Please carry cash with you so you can tip them for their kindness and assistance. Wonderful company to do business with.
